How HubSpot's Breeze supports sales, marketing, and customer service

Written by Terhi Bergius | 5.6.2026

AI tools are often standalone add-ons that require you to manually feed in data. HubSpot's Breeze is different: it works directly inside the portal and draws on all existing data – contacts, campaigns, customer history, and content.

In practice, this means help is available at the exact moment you need it, without switching tabs or copying information.

For sales: Prioritization and background support

A salesperson's time is often spent on prep work: who to reach out to, what was agreed previously, how to phrase a message. Breeze speeds up each of these steps.

Prioritization: Breeze reviews CRM data and surfaces leads showing buying signals – such as those who have opened a proposal or visited the pricing page. A salesperson can start their day by asking Breeze: "Show me the most important leads that have been active in the past week."

Preparation: Before a call, Breeze summarizes the account situation in a few bullet points: most recent contacts, topics discussed, content viewed.

Messaging: Breeze suggests personalized messages based on previous interactions. The salesperson reviews and sends – but never starts from scratch.

For marketing: Faster from insight to results

In marketing, time goes into analyzing results, drawing conclusions, and producing content for different channels. Breeze shortens this chain.

Campaign analysis: Breeze can summarize campaign results – open rates, top-performing channels, bottlenecks – and suggest improvements. From analysis, you can move directly to a new version without moving data around.

Content production: Breeze helps generate ideas, draft content, and adapt it for different channels. A blog post becomes a newsletter version with a single request.

Personalization: When messages need to be tailored for different segments, Breeze can produce variations and later help interpret which version performed best.

For customer service: Faster, more consistent support

Customer service combines urgency and unpredictable situations. Breeze helps especially with three tasks.

Summarization: When a support case contains a long message thread, Breeze can create a summary: what the issue is, what has been tried, what the customer expects. A new handler can get up to speed immediately.

Drafting responses: For recurring questions, Breeze suggests response templates that follow the desired tone and include necessary instructions. The handler reviews and fills in the details.

Automated first response: A Breeze-powered Customer Agent can handle simple questions independently and route more complex cases to the right person. Customers get answers faster, and the team can focus on more demanding cases.

Breeze Assistant and Breeze Agent – what's the difference?

Breeze Assistant is a conversational tool you ask for help with individual tasks: summarize this, write a draft, analyze results.

Breeze Agents are processes that run more autonomously in the background. They can, for example, automatically send follow-up messages to leads that meet certain criteria, and create a task for a salesperson when a customer signals purchase intent.

The Assistant is a capable colleague you ask for advice. An Agent is a process running in the background that calls in a human when needed.

Before rolling out Breeze

A few things worth thinking through in advance:

Permissions: HubSpot settings determine who can access Breeze features and what data is used.

Use cases: In which processes do you want to use Breeze? What will you continue doing yourselves? Is a review step needed before sending?

Ground rules: When the team knows what Breeze is used for and what to expect from it, adoption goes considerably more smoothly.
